Founded in spring 2012 by Bleu Copas and Christopher Hamblin, the Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus, now known as the Appalachian Equality Chorus, has evolved into one of the largest performing arts and equal rights organizations in the region, advocating for visibility, recognition, and equality for all persons across Appalachia, welcoming diverse members and broadening its mission to create a safe space for everyone regardless of sexuality or gender.

42nd Street had the honor of working with the stakeholders of Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus on their brand refresh — including brand naming, identity design, and all the visual elements that accompanied the launch of their new name and look.
