Who can refer

The fine print, in plain English

  • Pays on new website builds of $2,495 or more (5-page sites and up). Landing pages, logos and monthly marketing don't count.
  • Paid once the client's final payment clears, within 30 days.
  • The business has to be new to us. If we're already talking to them, we'll tell you.
  • First referral wins. If two people send the same business, the first one gets it.
  • US referrals. We'll ask for a W-9 before we pay. If you post about us, say you get a referral bonus. It's the law, and it builds trust.

One minute

Get your referral link

Fill this out and we'll email your referral link and dashboard login right away. Already have someone in mind? Add them in the “Who might you refer?” box. It's optional.

Share it your way

Paste your link once. We’ll write the rest.

Drop in the referral link from your welcome email and every message below fills in. Pick where you’re sharing, tap a button, done.

The best time to share is when someone asks. Watch for “Anyone know a good web designer?” in local Facebook groups, on Nextdoor and on LinkedIn. One honest reply there beats ten posts.

Keep the “I get a bonus” line. When you’re paid to recommend someone, the FTC asks you to say so. It also makes your post more believable, not less.

Takes one minute. Free to join.

Do they have to use my link?

No. Your link tracks automatically for a full year, but you can also just tell us who you sent and we’ll credit you.

What counts as a website?

Any new website build of $2,495 or more. That includes our 5-page and 10-page sites and custom builds. Landing pages, logos and monthly marketing don’t count.

When do I get paid?

Within 30 days of the client’s final payment. We’ll ask for a W-9 before the first payout.

Is there a limit?

No. Five websites is $2,500. Ten websites is $5,000.

Can I post my link on social media?

Yes. Use the share kit above: paste your link once and we write the post for Facebook, LinkedIn, Nextdoor, Stories or a text. Keep the short “I get a referral bonus” line in it. When you’re paid to recommend someone, the FTC asks you to say so, and it makes your post more believable.

Where do I find my referral link?

In the welcome email we send right after you sign up, and in your referral dashboard. Can’t find it? Email support@42st.com and we’ll resend it.

What if they don’t buy?

Nothing happens and it costs you nothing. If they come back and buy within a year, you still get paid.

I’m already a client. Can I take credit instead?

Yes. Take the $500 as cash or as a credit on your account. Your call.

Do I have to sell anything?

No. Make the introduction. We do the selling, and we treat your people the way you’d want them treated.
