What you get

What is a Webflow migration?

A Webflow migration moves your website from another platform into Webflow. Your pages, blog posts, images and SEO settings come across, by export or by rebuild. Every old URL keeps its address or gets a 301 redirect to its new page. Done right, visitors and search engines barely notice the move.

WordPress

Posts and pages can be exported, and posts usually map into a Webflow CMS collection. Plugins don't come along, so forms, sliders and SEO plugin settings get rebuilt or replaced.

Wix

Wix doesn't hand over a full-site export, so most Wix moves are a rebuild. We copy the content, rebuild the design in Webflow and map every Wix URL to its new page.

Squarespace

Squarespace can export some content, like blog posts, but not the design. We rebuild the layout in Webflow and bring over posts, images and page titles.

HubSpot CMS

Pages and blog posts move to Webflow, while HubSpot forms and tracking can stay connected. That way your contacts, lists and emails keep working.

GoDaddy

GoDaddy builder sites are rebuilt in Webflow. Your domain can stay registered at GoDaddy; we just point it to Webflow when it's time to launch.

Framer

Framer and Webflow are both visual builders, but layouts don't transfer between them. We rebuild the pages and move CMS content so your blog and listings come too.

Drupal

Drupal sites often hold years of content and deep URL paths. We list every path, move the content into Webflow CMS collections and redirect the old paths.

Joomla

Joomla articles and menus get mapped to Webflow pages and collections. Extensions are swapped for built-in Webflow features or simple embeds.

Plain HTML

Hand-coded and older static sites are rebuilt in Webflow, so your team can change text and photos without touching code.

How it works

How we move any site to Webflow

  • 1Inventory every URL. We crawl the old site and pull your sitemap and Search Console data, so we know every page, post and file that gets traffic or links.
  • 2Export or rebuild the content. When the old platform allows an export, we import it into Webflow CMS collections by CSV. When it doesn't, we rebuild page by page.
  • 3Build the 301 map and carry over metadata. Each old URL is matched to its new one, and page titles, meta descriptions, headings and alt text come across.
  • 4Run launch checks. Before the domain moves, we test redirects, forms, phone links, mobile layouts and tracking codes on the Webflow staging site.
  • 5Watch Search Console after launch. We submit the new sitemap, then check for crawl errors and 404s and fix what turns up.

Big site? Webflow lets you add 301 redirects one at a time or import them in bulk from a CSV file.

Common questions

Webflow migration questions, answered.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I move to Webflow?

You shouldn't, if the move is planned. Rankings slip when old URLs break or titles and content get lost. We keep URLs where we can, 301 redirect the rest, and carry over titles, descriptions and headings. Any move can cause some short-term movement, so we watch Search Console closely after launch.

Which platforms can you move to Webflow?

Almost any. The common ones are WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, HubSpot CMS, GoDaddy, Framer, Drupal, Joomla and hand-coded HTML. If your site runs on something else, the process is the same: list every URL, move or rebuild the content, and redirect every old address to its new home.

Do I have to redesign my site to move it?

No. We can rebuild your current design in Webflow so it looks the same, or use the move to fix what isn't working. Many owners pick a middle path: same brand and page structure, cleaner layouts. We talk through the options on the call before anything gets scoped.

What happens to my domain and email during the move?

Your domain stays yours, and it can stay at the registrar you use now. At launch we update the DNS records that point your website to Webflow. Email runs on separate records, called MX records, so we leave those alone and test your inbox after the switch.

How much does a Webflow migration cost?

Two parts: your Webflow plan is paid to Webflow (webflow.com/pricing); our fee depends on scope and comes in writing after a 30-minute call. Scope depends on how many pages and posts you have, whether your content can be exported, and how many redirects the move needs.
