Webflow Localization · Nationwide

Webflow localization so customers can read your site in their language.

We set up Webflow Localize so each language gets its own pages, content and SEO settings. Your Spanish-speaking customers read the site in Spanish, and Google can find both versions.

What you get

What is Webflow localization?

Webflow localization is setting up a Webflow site in more than one language with Webflow Localize. Each language, called a locale, gets its own subdirectory like /es/, its own text, images and SEO settings, and hreflang tags so Google shows the right version to the right searcher.

Locales in subdirectories

Each language lives at its own path, like /es/ for Spanish, on the same domain you already have.

Translated text and images

Translate with Webflow's AI, your own translator or a translation app, then swap any image that needs a local version.

Localized CMS content

Blog posts, services and other CMS items get per-language content, so the Spanish blog is a real blog.

SEO for each language

Titles, descriptions and Open Graph per locale, plus hreflang tags and a sitemap that lists each version.

Locale switcher

A language picker sends visitors to the same page in the language they choose.

Pages left out on purpose

Exclusion rules keep pages, components or CMS fields out of auto-translation, like legal text or brand names.

How it works

How we set up Webflow Localize on your site.

  • 1Pick locales and pages. Which languages, which pages go first, and who signs off on the translations.
  • 2Add Localize. Locales are added in Webflow, each with its own subdirectory.
  • 3Translate and review. AI or human translation first, then someone fluent, often on your team, reviews the key pages.
  • 4Set SEO per locale. Titles, descriptions, hreflang and the sitemap are checked for every language.
  • 5Publish and watch. We check each locale in Google Search Console after launch.

Good to know: Webflow routes visitors between locales with 302 redirects, and the 301 redirects you add do not apply to localized slugs or subdirectories. Each localized URL that moves needs its own redirect rule.

Common questions

Webflow localization questions, answered.

Does Webflow Localization work with Webflow Ecommerce?

Not fully. Webflow says Localize does not support Ecommerce site plan features. If both are on, products, categories and product pages cannot be localized. If you sell online and need a second language, we talk through options on the call, such as an outside store or keeping the shop in one language.

Is Webflow's AI translation good enough?

It is a strong first draft. Webflow Localize can translate with AI, and that draws on a monthly word allowance. For service pages, warranties and legal text, have someone fluent read it before it goes live. One wrong word on a service page can cost you a customer's trust.

Will Google index my Spanish pages?

Yes, when the setup is right. Each locale lives in its own subdirectory, like /es/, and Webflow can add hreflang tags to each page and to the auto-generated sitemap. Only locales with publishing turned on appear in that sitemap, so we check those settings before launch.

Can visitors be sent to their language automatically?

Sometimes. Webflow can route visitors by browser language, but only on Enterprise or Advanced Localize plans, and it uses 302 redirects. On other plans, a locale switcher lets people pick their language, and links between pages keep them in it.

What does Webflow localization cost?

Two parts. Your Webflow plan and the Localize add-on are paid to Webflow, and their prices are at webflow.com/pricing. Our fee depends on how many languages and pages you need, and you get it in writing after a 30-minute call, before any work starts.

Thirty minutes with Mike. Tell us which languages, which pages and who will check the translations. You leave with a locale plan and a written price.
