Webflow accessibility fixes so more people can use your site

Some visitors use a keyboard, a screen reader or zoomed-in text. We check your Webflow site against WCAG 2.2 AA and fix what gets in their way.

What you get

What is Webflow accessibility?

Webflow accessibility is making a Webflow site usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or zoom. The common target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, a standard from the W3C. It covers color contrast, heading order, alt text, focus states, form labels and more.

Color contrast

Light gray text on white is hard to read. We check text and buttons against WCAG contrast ratios and adjust colors that fail.

Heading order

Screen reader users jump from heading to heading. We give each page one H1 and headings that step down in order.

Alt text

Every meaningful image gets a short description. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.

Focus states

Keyboard users need to see where they are. We make focus outlines visible and keep sticky headers from covering them.

Form labels and errors

Each field gets a real label, and error messages say what went wrong and how to fix it.

Tap targets and links

Buttons and links get room to tap, and link text names where it goes, so a list of links still makes sense.

How it works

How we make a Webflow site more accessible

  • 1We run Webflow's built-in Audit panel, which flags missing alt text, unclear link text, skipped heading levels and duplicate IDs.
  • 2We test what the Audit panel does not cover, like color contrast, keyboard use and focus order.
  • 3We try key pages with a screen reader and at high zoom.
  • 4We fix issues in the Webflow Designer and CMS, starting with your most visited pages.
  • 5We give your team simple rules for alt text, headings and colors so new content stays accessible.

WCAG 2.2 AA is our target. We do not give legal advice or guarantee legal compliance, so please talk to your attorney about legal requirements.

Why it matters: WCAG 2.2 became a W3C Recommendation in October 2023. It added new AA rules, including Focus Not Obscured and a minimum target size for buttons and links.

Common questions

Webflow accessibility questions, answered.

Is a Webflow site accessible by default?

Not automatically. Webflow gives you clean HTML and an Audit panel that flags some issues, but accessibility depends on design choices. Colors, heading order, alt text, link text and form labels are all set by whoever builds and edits the site, so they need checking.

What does Webflow's Audit panel check?

It flags four high-impact accessibility issues: missing alt text, link text that does not describe the link, skipped heading levels and duplicate element IDs. It does not check color contrast, keyboard use or focus order, so we test those by hand.

What is WCAG 2.2 AA?

WCAG is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from the W3C. Version 2.2 became a Recommendation in October 2023, and Level AA is the middle level most organizations aim for. It sets rules for contrast, keyboard access, labels, focus, tap target size and more.

Do you guarantee ADA compliance?

No. We do not give legal advice, and no one can honestly promise a site will never face a claim. We test against WCAG 2.2 AA, fix what we find and write down the work we did. For legal questions, please talk to your attorney.

What does Webflow accessibility work cost?

Two parts. Your Webflow site plan is billed by Webflow, with current prices listed at webflow.com/pricing. Our fee depends on how many pages and templates need review and fixes. It comes in writing after a 30-minute call, before any work begins.

Let's talk about your site's accessibility

On a 30-minute call, Mike walks through a few key pages with you, shows the accessibility gaps that stand out, and explains how a full review works.
